Summit Hill Borough

  • Bill Black Park
    is a tot-lot playground for children up to the age of 12 located on West Holland Street

  • Ginder Field
    has two baseball fields, cinder track, pavilions, youth playground and a tot-lot located on South Market Street

  • Ludlow Park
    contains a walking path, shade trees, gazebo and historical monuments located in the middle of town on West Ludlow Street

  • Memorial Park
    is a historical cemetery and memorial site located by the post office

  • Pine Street Crossover
    is a historical site that commemorates the old Switchback Railroad located on the corner of Pine and Ludlow Streets

  • South Street Park
    is an additional baseball field located behind the Ginder Field

  • Trooper Melley Memorial Park
    has a baseball field with concession stand, playground equipment, basketball and pickleball courts located on East Richards Avenue

Other Recreational Areas

Mauch Chunk Lake Park offers a beach, pavilions at the beach, non-motorized boating (canoes, kayaks), camping, pavilion rentals for events and access to the Switchback Railroad Trail.
Mauch Chunk Lake Park

The Carbon County Environmental Education Center (CCEEC) is a nature-focused facility located in Summit Hill, inside Mauch Chunk Lake Park. Its main purpose is to teach people about wildlife, conservation, and the environment.

CCEEC is a nature education hub where people can learn about wildlife, explore trails, and participate in hands-on conservation programs. It’s both a learning center and a wildlife sanctuary.
