Shade Tree Commission
The Summit Hill Shade Tree Commission is a municipal board dedicated to planting, maintaining, and protecting trees in public areas of Summit Hill, Pennsylvania. Its activities include street and park tree planting, memorial tree programs, and Arbor Day celebrations.

Civil Service Commission
The Civil Service Commission is a local government body responsible for overseeing the hiring, promotion, and discipline of police officers to ensure that employment decisions are based on merit, qualification and fair procedures, rather than political influence or favoritism.

The commission administers exams for hiring or promotion, certify eligibility lists of candidates for positions, hear appeals related to discipline, suspension or dismissal of employment and advise the borough on employment policies for civil service positions.
